Ending the year 2011

It's the end of the year once more and the monsoon is here to greet the new year too. I hate this feeling - i can't even describe what is it but there's a yuck-eeky feeling of being solo. ARGH and it happens almost every end of the year. Perhaps it started because something happened in the past :'( Once again, i gotta use all my might and muster my strength to push these ugly feelings aside. Down you go into the drain! I need to start anew , my theme for 2012 would be.... "ACCENTUATE THE POSITIVE!!"

Help me Lord =)

Lord, give me the patience and the strength to wait for NUS's reply.
You know when is the best timing for the email to come to me.
Please give me the faith to count on You for everything and i hope that the answer would be the best for me. Thank you Lord =)

Chilling out at O's Corner

Finally a nice spot to hangout with family and friends in Kuantan! By the still, breezy riverside we're now able to enjoy drinks, food and entertainment at O's Corner managed by a Chinese businessman who has quirky interests in antiques and artistic crafts/architectures.
This lovely restaurant management hires a performer to sing for all the customers every night except Thurs. with his mellow voice and amazing talent of singing and playing musical instruments all at once.
The entertainment is what makes this place so special :) I've been there 3 times and thrice i've requested songs from the performer, Mr. Abdullah a.k.a Mr. Chiko. A very nice, polite good old man who never fails to entertain the customers with his wide knowledge on songs/singers/composers.
Mum and I went there today, a Monday night and boy, there was a good crowd. When we were about to go back, Mr.Chiko thanked us for the support and said "Wow, you've came 3 times in a week!" Hahaha... guess i gave him too many song requests? Lol... O well, i hope he'll be able to go on for many more years serenading these ever green tunes to evryone around him.

Everyone should bring their outstation friends over here to get a taste of the laidback life of Kuantanites =)

the one and only

I should post this up in case i change my mind again.. Hahaha.
the man i will marry have to/should/will :
have a relationship with God as his Abba,
carry out his responsibilities as a son, husband then father,
have a passion for music!
or at least know some singers..
watch real good movies,
play some sports,
sociable,
love animals,
have sympathy and empathy,
and etc(can't think of too much now).

If he isn't, how can i talk to him about God? God won't be in between our relationship.
If he isn't, how can we croon along love tunes?
If he isn't, where is the chemistry?

Haha, this sounds like a contract written by a small kid but who cares, i'm still ...not old =D

Kirk Franklin - I Smile (Live Cover by Sara Niemietz)

Get inspired by this song! Kirk Franklin's latest hit, "I Smile" from his newest album called "Hello Fear". A nice cover of this song by Sara Niemietz, enjoy folks....

Today’s a new day, and there is no sunshine.
Nothing but clouds, and it’s dark in my heart
and it feels like a cold night.
Today’s a new day, where are my blue skies,
where is the love and the joy that you promised me
you tell me it’s alright.

(I’ll be honest with you)
I almost gave up, but a power that I can’t explain,
fell from heaven like a shower.

(When I think how much better I’m gonna be when this is over)
I smile, even though I’m hurt see I smile,
I know God is working so I smile,
Even though I’ve been here for a while
I smile, smile..
it’s so hard to look up when you look down.
Sure would hate to see it when you give up now
You look so much better when you smile, so smile.

Today’s a new day, but there is no sunshine.
Nothing but clouds, and it’s dark in my heart,
and it feels like a cold night.
Today’s a new day, tell me where are my blue skies,
where is the love and the joy that you promised me
you tell me it’s alright.

relive.refreshed.renewed

Yes indeed, i am gonna relive this blog once more:)
You only live once yo.

God made me realised how important it is to be humble no matter who you are and where you are.
"God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble". Grace is such an important element in our lives ever since we submit our lives to Him. Without it, we are doomed to darkness forever.

He says, : My grace is sufficient for you for My power is made perfect in your weakness (2 Cor 12:8)

Ps. Joseph Prince also quoted: "When we try to withhold ourselves from our fleshly desires and we are determined to do good or control our temper, do it with the grace of God. Don't rely on our own strength or head knowledge as we will end up doing those things that we'd decided not to do in the very first place. However, by God's loving grace, we count on him 100% for His power to be displayed in our weakness.

Lord, thanks for clearing that up for me =) Now i know the secret code ;)

So where there is humility, there's grace in the air. Be blessed!
